Ducklings & Cygnets at the Lake
I haven't seen many ducklings at the lake this year although there have been lots of goslings. This short video shows 3 Mallard ducklings and 3 (distant!) Tufted ducklings which have stayed hidden most of the time, as well as the 2 surviving cygnets. Not much volume as there were lots of noisy people when I took them.....

Female Emperor Dragonfly

There is always something different at the Lake. This morning it was a female Emperor Dragonfly laying eggs on vegetation in the lake. There was a second flying around as well as quite a few damselflies.
Stag Beetle on a Shady path by the Lake
Переглядів 7919 годин тому
As I walked down the shady path to the lake, this huge beetle caught my eye. I double checked in my insect book and the stag beetle is identical to this one with the 3 segments and white lines between each. No big antlers though. I don't see many now so was pleased to see this one.

The Swans had 6 cygnets this year. The number suddenly went down to 3 overnight, then down to 2 several days later.

Swallows in the Nest Part 1

Back in 2020 I took a series of short clips of the swallows nesting in a friend's stable and then forgot all about them. The swallows come every year without fail although the buildings have now changed.
Rats at the Lake

This is the main platform where people feed the ducks at my local lake and a lot of rats take advantage of the debris they leave. You can see them all around the lake although they tend to dart away into the undergrowth when disturbed.

The Grebes at the lake have produced 2 chicks and they are doing well. I think they need a smaller fish though!!

super,,
śliczne,,
IN MY VIEW I feel sorry for the one on the far right. He gets crushed when the rest of his siblings move. This little one seemingly accepts it.
Swallows have wonderful colours, like many birds until you see them close up you don't realise. You are lucky to have them nesting with you, so many farm buildings and outbuildings are either converted or closed off these days.👍
Прогулка по берегу... Молодцы, полезно для здоровья...😊
Man there some quite brids lol
From nightmarish dragonfly nymph to beautiful adult dragonfly
Even a sad story has a happy ending.
That’s a emporer dragonfly.
I'm so happy you posted this! I was just looking around & Googling to see what I could feed these starlings & their young.
They r singing
This happened after my walk at Manor Farm Park with all of them yeowing while perching on the roof! They always do this every August!
In my area of course!
I hate seagulls
Beautiful cross breed 😭✨

I love running across foxes when I hike. They are curious but keep their distance. Sometimes they decide to entertain you by running in circles!
En qué país ha sido filmado? Ojalà pudiera disfrutar viendo tantos zorzales juntos...qué suerte tenéis..Saludos
I wonder how its wings got damaged.
Birds. Birds eat Dragonflies.
Mate this is funny as FK.. I play this on speakerphone max volume outside on my window sill. My window closed, and it bugs both my neighbours and puts the local nesting gulls on alert too.. I know it must bug my neighbours, but they just here gulls and don't know its really me!! Good vid mate.. I've made use of it!!
Really love gulls
Beautiful birds. :)
Wont the bread pollute the water?
I only put enough in for them to eat in one go and scooped it out if they didn't want it - I had so many that never seemed to be a problem! They also like lettuce and the little sticks you buy for fish. I agree that you don't want things polluting the water so am generally quite careful.
They quap it all up
I haven't seen numbers like this near my garden recently but do still get small numbers when the weather is cold.
This is an excellent example of the 0:41 "kek-kek" and the 1:01 "yeow" and in this case, an even more excellent example of what we can call "echo yeow" where a mated pair will yeow back and forth to each other rapidly. People are smart, but have not a clue to what is being communicated by gulls.
love black swans!!!!!!!
are the black and white swan able to cross breed?
I have never seen any black/white swan crosses but in theory I suppose they could. My own experience of seeing black swans is that they keep more to themselves and are often chased off by white swans. The only time I have seen them mix is on the canal, probably because people feed them there.
I see stickle backs all the time but not minnows
Not minnows sticklebacks
hell yes this is what i came here to see
カッコイイ
Lol @ the random Canada goose in there
Same with my radishes I started see the leaves get eaten and I saw these green caterpillars and these literally ate all of my leaves after burning a few i founded a motherload of eggs and so many more caterpillars a quick visit to Bunnings and some poison did the trick
CHYM
Ive several appleyards on my allotment, fantastic ducks to have around
That was a nice video capture. Beautiful bird. And I never saw that either. Until now. :-)
WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY\
I'm really sorry but I didn't keep any more of the original clips after making the swan video. Good luck with your thesis.
Do you have more video footage of the swans? I would like to use the video footage in my thesis concert about about the ballet, Swan Lake.
Beautiful pieces come from your delicate ingenuity and elaborate captures, Thanks for your sharing! Blessings to you always ! ♥♥ ~ Maggie ~ ♥♥
Great idea! Have you built this wall?
its so chubby >.<
A beautiful dance on the water!
These particular ducks are not noisy and are fairly friendly.
Are they a noisy breed? And are they generally quite friendly? Thank you
I can fap to this.
Isn't that wondeful !
Ikr
